I would love for someone to go up to one of these amazing photographers/artists and tell them that they do not deserve any of the photography awards they have won because they used darkroom techniques and Photoshop to manipulate their images.
I would also like to see the people that think that recreate what they have made.
I wouldn't let anyone discourage you. I wouldn't let anyone tell you that you pursuing a degree is worthless or learning the technical aspect of your art is worthless. Learning every aspect of your art makes you a better artist, let's you explore more and find a style that best suits you! Gaining knowledge of what others have done with their craft is not a bad thing, and don't let anyone tell you that. I have studied countless artists, learned about their different styles, and seen their amazing works of art. A person that doesn't have the desire to learn what other's have done in the past is really limiting themselves. Your work is amazing and every post you create shows your drive and desire to grow as an artist. I truly believe you have a passion that is going to take you far!
